I copyedit and proofread primarily manuscripts before or after typesetting. For copy-line edits, copyedits, and proofreads before typesetting, I use Microsoft's tracked changes, file cleanup, and macros features. For proofreading after typesetting, I use Adobe Acrobat to mark up the PDF for any leftover grammar and formatting errors. I standardly use Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam Webster for references, but I also welcome house style guides and Associated Press when applicable. I also complete style sheets and assessments upon request.

What are my prices?
Pricing is based on the project’s genre, word count, readability, and your desired timeline. I promise fair rates that are standardized by the Editorial Freelance Association and require approval by contract before we begin!
How long does an edit take?
Timelines depend on the project and the type of editing required, but I generally approximately two weeks for a round of editing, with the possibility of another edit based on my availability.
