A Wix consultant is a website specialist who reviews Wix sites and advises on how to turn them into better tools for generating inquiries, bookings, or sales. They look at platform fit, site structure, installed apps, loading speed, and search visibility.

Rather than rebuilding your site straight away, a Wix consultant gives you a clear list of which changes to make first. That might include simplifying navigation, fixing SEO settings, removing slow apps, or improving calls to action on key pages.

Small businesses, coaches, restaurants, clinics, and service providers often hire one when their Wix site looks fine but isn't bringing in enough leads, when traffic is low, or when they're unsure whether Wix can support their next stage of growth.

Wix consultants on Fiverr commonly help with:

1. Platform fit reviews: confirming whether Wix, Wix Studio, or another platform suits your goals.
2. Site structure: organizing pages, menus, and content so visitors find what they need quickly.
3. SEO setup: configuring page titles, descriptions, URLs, structured data, and indexing settings.
4. App audits: reviewing installed Wix apps and removing ones that slow the site or duplicate features.
5. Speed improvements: optimizing images, fonts, and page elements for faster loading.
6. Conversion improvements: refining forms, booking flows, and calls to action.
7. Custom functionality: planning features with Velo, Wix's development platform.

Many consultants can also carry out the changes as part of a follow-up order.

Wix, often called the Wix Editor, is the classic drag-and-drop builder designed for small business owners who want to create and manage a site themselves without technical skills.

Wix Studio is built for agencies, freelancers, and more advanced users. It offers responsive design controls, reusable design assets, advanced layout tools, and better team collaboration, making it a stronger fit for custom, professional builds.

Both run on the same Wix infrastructure and support apps, Velo code, and SEO tools. A Wix consultant can help you decide which one suits your site. If you're still comparing platforms more broadly, this guide on Wix vs. Squarespace vs. WordPress covers the main trade-offs.

Yes. Wix sites can rank well on Google when they're set up correctly. Wix includes built-in SEO tools for editing titles, descriptions, URLs, alt text, redirects, and structured data, and it generates sitemaps automatically.

Ranking problems usually come from how a site is built rather than the platform itself. Common issues include thin page content, duplicate titles, missing headings, slow pages, and no clear focus on the keywords customers actually search.

A Wix consultant reviews these factors and creates an action plan. For businesses that rely on nearby customers, such as salons, clinics, or contractors, pairing the review with local SEO services helps the site appear in map results and "near me" searches.

Based on Fiverr marketplace data, starting prices for Wix consulting and design gigs on this page range from about $80 for focused updates or single landing pages to $450 for full professional business websites. Wix specialists who bill hourly commonly charge between $30 and $70 per hour.

Basic packages usually cover a site review or a single page. Standard and Premium tiers can include multiple pages, SEO setup, booking or store configuration, and custom Velo features.

Your budget will depend on:

• Number of pages that need review or changes
• Business features, such as Wix Bookings, Wix Stores, or member areas
• Custom code built with Velo
• SEO and content work, including rewriting key pages

Most Wix consulting projects on Fiverr follow these steps:

1. Goals discussion: you explain what the site should achieve, such as more calls, bookings, or sales.
2. Site access: you add the consultant as a collaborator with the right permissions.
3. Review: structure, content, apps, speed, mobile experience, and SEO settings are assessed.
4. Prioritized action list: you receive clear recommendations ranked by impact and effort.
5. Implementation: the consultant makes approved changes, or your team follows the plan.
6. Follow-up check: results are reviewed after changes go live.

A site review is often delivered within a few days. Larger improvements, such as restructuring a site or setting up a store, may take one to two weeks.

Wix consultants work with a combination of Wix features and external tools:

• Wix Editor and Wix Studio: for layout, design, and responsive adjustments
• Velo: Wix's development platform for custom code, databases, and integrations. Wix documents it in the official Velo API reference.
• Wix business apps: Wix Bookings, Wix Stores, Wix Restaurants, and Wix Events
• SEO tools: Wix SEO settings, Site Inspection, and Google Search Console
• Analytics: Wix Analytics and Google Analytics 4
• Speed testing: Google PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse

Using both built-in and external data helps the consultant see how visitors actually find and use your site, rather than relying on design opinions alone.

Common add-ons for Wix consulting gigs include:

• Extra pages designed or optimized
• SEO setup for all pages, including redirects and structured data
• Booking or store configuration
• Custom Velo features, such as dynamic pages or member dashboards
• Monthly maintenance for updates and content changes

Wix premium plans, domain registration, and paid Wix apps are not included and are billed directly by Wix or the app provider.

Standalone campaign pages are also often handled separately. If you need a high-converting page for ads, dedicated landing page design can deliver it. If speed is a major concern, website speed consultants can dig deeper into performance.
