I assist romance authors in addressing structural issues before they become a major "why does this feel off?" problem. I've worked with both independent and best-selling writers on everything from clumsy first drafts to nearly finished but unfinished novels. Different authors with the same objective: make the story work. I specialize in identifying the problems that subtly undermine your narrative, such as inconsistent character motivation, weak turning points, uneven pacing, and nearly successful yet ultimately unsuccessful emotional arcs. My criticism is thorough, useful, and practical. Stronger plot underpinnings, a clear direction, and a much greater understanding of what their tale is doing (and what it should be doing) are all things that writers depart with.
