Server had started crashing on world load after the client added several new mods mid-season. Client had already tried removing mods at random but couldn't isolate the cause, and was at risk of losing an active player base if downtime continued. What I did: Pulled and reviewed the full crash report and server log, identifying a mixin conflict between two mods that both hooked into the same rendering pipeline Cross-checked mod versions against the Minecraft/Forge version and found one mod was still on a build meant for an earlier Forge release Updated the mismatched mod to the correct build, resolved a second conflict between two ore-generation mods fighting over world-gen priority, and adjusted the mod load order Ran a clean server boot test, then a stress test with multiple players joining simultaneously to confirm stability under load Optimized JVM startup flags and adjusted a few config files (entity cap, chunk loading radius) to improve TPS, since the server had also been lagging before the crash issue started Delivered a short write-up explaining what caused the crash in plain language, plus a note on which mod to watch before future updates Outcome: Server came back online with zero crashes over the following week of play, and the client reported TPS had noticeably improved during peak hours with 8+ players on. They asked me to be their go-to for testing new mod additions before pushing them live to the server going forward.
