I’m a music producer working under the project name Big Beef. I make boom bap and instrumental hip-hop with heavy chops, raw drums, atmosphere, and character. I’ve been producing since 2007 and have stayed deep in instrumental hip-hop, LA beat culture, crate digging, vinyl sampling, obscure records, and underground sound. My influences run through Madlib, Dilla, Knxwledge, Flying Lotus, and Griselda-adjacent grime. I use hardware and software, prefer analog tape delay, and know how to mix, gain stage, and make a beat absolutely spank ass.
