Filmmaker and photographer based in Kyoto, Japan. I work with 6×9 medium format, Super 8 and 16mm film, as well as digital photography and video. I create portraits, films and visual stories for couples, travelers, artists and musicians, working primarily on location in Kyoto, with projects in Osaka, Nara, Tokyo and beyond. My approach is candid and observational, focusing on real moments, movement and atmosphere. I work quietly and respectfully, mindful of the culture, people and spaces I photograph and film.
