• Designed and implemented a scalable background job processing architecture using ASP.NET Core Hosted Services, SQL Server, asynchronous programming, and worker pooling to handle long-running business operations reliably. • Architected a 15-second hybrid execution model where API requests first attempt direct execution for an immediate response. Operations that exceed the response window are automatically offloaded to a SQL Server-backed background job queue, allowing the API to remain responsive while the work continues in the background. • Designed the solution to support multiple Azure application instances, with multiple workers running per instance and safely sharing a centralized BackgroundJobs table. Implemented atomic job claiming and locking to prevent the same job from being processed concurrently by multiple workers. • Implemented a complete background job lifecycle — Pending, InProgress, Completed, and Failed — with result persistence, error handling, timestamps, and client-side status polling to provide reliable processing and visibility into long-running operations. • Worked on application security by implementing JWT claim-based identity validation and authorization, ensuring that user identity and business identifiers are validated before executing protected API operations. • Led the design and implementation of backend solutions using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, SQL Server, Azure, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. • Investigated and resolved complex production and architectural challenges involving asynchronous processing, concurrency, database operations, API responsiveness, and distributed application instances. • Provided technical leadership and guidance to development teams, helping establish effective coding practices, architecture decisions, troubleshooting approaches, and maintainable software solutions.
