I am a graphic designer specializing in restaurant menu design and restaurant marketing. I redesign menus so they look modern, appetizing, and easy to read, and I deliver them print-ready and optimized for web. I build restaurant menu software (Menutopia), so I think about menus all day, from layout and typography to how customers actually read a menu. I’ve been freelancing in design since 2001, starting in high school and continuing through 5 years of Industrial Design at Purdue University, where visual communication (sketching, layout, presentation boards) was a big part of the program. Over the years I’ve designed: • Flyers and promo material for clubs and events • Business cards for all kinds of businesses • Restaurant menus, including food photography for them • Product concepts and designs, which is my professional background I also shoot and edit photography: weddings, quinceañeras, portraits, headshots, and food. Clients get their proofs through an online gallery so picking favorites is easy. My industrial design and engineering background means I think about who’s actually using the design and what it needs to do, not just how it looks. A menu has to be easy to order from. A business card has to be readable in two seconds. These days I use AI tools to speed up my process, so I can give you more options faster while still doing the final design by hand.
