I compile kernels of different phones and modify it for nethunter project. Low range, mid range, new phones. If your phone already has a community support(for example, there are custom ROMs and kernels of your device in XDA forums), compiling will cost lower and compiling time probably will be low too. If your device is mid-range/new: since kernel sources of these type of devices are updated and kernel usually exists on manufacturer's site.

Since old low range phones with no community support has older kernel and their kernel sources might not be in manufacturer's site(50/50 chance), it might be pain in the ass. Same applies for low range phones as well. Their kernel source gonna be available in manufacturer's site (85% chance), it won't be pain as old no community support phones. But still, I will try my shoot.
FAQ
Will monitor mode on my internal wifi adapter work?
It completely depends on your device's chipset and QCACLD version in kernel. For example, I compiled custom kernel of my device and it supports monitor mode but code injection doesn't work due QCACLD version that my device has.
Will you be able to compile drivers for other external devices by yourself?
I will send you not only device kernel, also header files and all other required output files of your kernel so you can compile drivers of other devices as kernel modules and then load that module to kernel. At this stage, I will help you and guide you how to do it (even in your phone.)
