During my internship at National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK), I gained valuable practical experience in architectural and engineering design, technical documentation, and construction-related processes. The internship provided me with an opportunity to understand how professional architectural and engineering projects are developed from initial concepts to detailed construction drawings. During the internship, I was involved in reviewing and preparing architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD. I learned how to interpret design requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings while following professional drafting standards. I also gained experience working with project drawings and documentation, including reviewing existing drawings, making revisions according to project requirements, preparing layouts, and coordinating architectural information with other engineering disciplines. This helped me understand the importance of accuracy, consistency, dimensions, annotations, and drawing presentation in professional projects.

During my internship in the Civil Department of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), I gained practical exposure to civil engineering activities related to the planning, construction, maintenance, and management of electrical infrastructure and buildings. During the internship, I learned about the civil works associated with electrical installations, including foundations, equipment platforms, building structures, boundary walls, drainage systems, roads, and other supporting infrastructure. I developed an understanding of how civil engineering works are coordinated with electrical requirements to ensure safe and functional installations. I was also exposed to technical drawings, site plans, layouts, measurements, and construction details. I learned how drawings are interpreted and used for construction and maintenance activities and gained practical knowledge of taking site measurements and understanding existing conditions. The internship also provided me with an opportunity to observe site inspection and construction activities, including checking work progress, understanding construction materials and methods, and observing how civil works are executed and maintained in the field. Furthermore, I gained an understanding of quantity estimation, project documentation, specifications, and coordination between site personnel and engineering departments. This experience helped me appreciate the importance of proper planning, accurate documentation, quality control, and compliance with technical requirements. Overall, my internship at LESCO's Civil Department enhanced my practical understanding of civil construction, site supervision, technical drawings, measurements, infrastructure development, and multidisciplinary coordination. It provided valuable exposure to real-world engineering practices and strengthened my ability to relate academic knowledge to professional projects.
