As an IT Manager at PARCO (Pak-Arab Refinery Limited), I am responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the organization’s complete information technology operations to ensure smooth, secure, and uninterrupted business processes. My role involves maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, enterprise applications, databases, security systems, and end-user computing environments. I ensure that all systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with PARCO’s operational and strategic objectives, particularly in a highly critical refinery and energy-sector environment where system availability and data accuracy are essential. A major part of my responsibilities includes ensuring cybersecurity and data protection across the organization. I implement and enforce IT security policies, manage firewalls, access controls, antivirus systems, and monitor networks to protect sensitive operational and corporate data. I also oversee regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery plans to minimize risks and ensure business continuity. In the event of technical failures or security incidents, I lead troubleshooting and recovery efforts to restore services quickly while maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
