I translate between Albanian and English — and Gheg is a dialect I actually speak, not one I studied from a book.
That matters more than it sounds. Standard Albanian is built on Tosk, spoken in the south. Gheg is what people use in Kosovo, northern Albania, North Macedonia and across most of the diaspora. Your text can be perfectly correct and still read as foreign to the exact people you're trying to reach.
I'm also a computer science student, so app strings, technical content and anything that has to fit inside a layout don't intimidate me.
