Una evaluación de manuscrito es similar a una edición de desarrollo, pero con un alcance más limitado. Esto significa que proporcionaré los comentarios sustantivos necesarios para elevar tu manuscrito mediante una carta de revisión editorial, pero no los comentarios en el texto que normalmente se encuentran en una edición de desarrollo. Es decir, hay un entregable, no dos.
Una evaluación de manuscrito incluye una valoración rigurosa de las siguientes áreas:
- el arte de escribir (mecánica de la escritura, lógica, claridad, legibilidad)
- trama/subtramas
- uso adecuado de la exposición
- diálogo (+ etiquetas y acciones)
- descripción
- ritmo
- estructura del acto
- caracterización/arcos de personajes
- voz narrativa
- uso correcto del punto(s) de vista (omnisciente vs. limitado, etc.)
- requisitos específicos del género
