PLEASE MESSAGE ME BEFORE ORDERING. I provide honest feedback in a kind and constructive way. I know how difficult putting your work up for criticism, as I once wrote a novel and had to go through such a process. Although I never published it, I can relate even if it's just a tiny bit.

Will you rewrite sections of my work that are problematic?
No, I will not rewrite your problematic areas. If I identify areas of concern regarding your story and marginalized communities, I will critique and give examples of how the story can improve, if you request it.
Will this guarantee that my story is not offensive to marginalized communities?
No, a sensitivity read is NOT a guarantee against making a story-telling mistake involving marginalized communities. But it will point out any definite and potential areas of bias in your story.
Can I request specific points to review?
Yes, please! If you have specific questions for me to focus on or an outline you'd like me to follow then I'd be more than happy to oblige.
Can you provide a sample line-edit for a specific section/passage?
No, I believe everyone has their own unique style and imagination, I would gladly give you my input on it.
What is your critique style?
Although this is not a proofread or a copy edit, my general style is to comment on whatever I see as I read. I may call to your attention some misspellings, but not all. I also may comment on sentence structure for readability.
What genres do you accept?
I read different genres, mainly fiction. I do not shy away from stories that include sensitive topics, rape/sexual assault, or any other gruesome scene. I’m not the best person to read historical or political work.
